At Cosmotec we strongly believe that it is our duty to help reduce the impact that air conditioning and refrigeration have on the environment.
To achieve this goal, we study the most ecological solutions, focusing on free cooling and energy efficiency, introducing low-GWP refrigerants, and adopting procedures that make all our actions greener.
Here are some of the steps we have taken:
Paperless documentation
Our units are accompanied by safety instructions and a CE declaration. The rest of the documentation is available on Adam, our free app.
Once the machine is registered, all technical documents will be available for consultation whenever needed. This way, there’s no need to keep paper materials, which are more prone to deterioration and loss.

GAS RA513a
To counteract climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, specific regulations have been introduced. Among these is Regulation No. 517/2014, which mandates a gradual reduction of HFCs, which significantly contribute to the greenhouse effect.
Cosmotec has chosen to use R513a gas, an HFO with high energy efficiency, non-flammable (class A1), non-toxic, and with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) significantly lower than HFCs.
R134a GWP = 1430
R513a GWP = 631
Free Cooling
Cosmotec has committed to making Free Cooling available for various applications by integrating it
into its units.
By leveraging the temperature differential, Free Cooling allows for the use of outdoor air to cool systems, reducing or even eliminating the use of mechanical refrigeration. The impact on consumption and therefore on the environment is particularly significant. To extend its benefits, Cosmotec has decided to develop a dedicated Free Cooling module
that can be installed even in existing systems.
