Refrigerant R513A: regulatory compliance and sustainable choice

The use of R513A refrigerant gas, efficiency and the use of less refrigerant gas reduce resource usage and CO2 impact.

Among HFO refrigerants, for its air conditioners cosmotec has chosen the refrigerant R513A due to some of its distinctive characteristics.

• It does not deplete the ozone layer and is available over the medium to long term not only for manufacturing purposes but also for maintenance activities.
• It falls within safety class A1 as it is a non-flammable refrigerant and therefore does not require additional safety measures for installation in electrical enclosures and/or cabinets.
• It also offers several other outstanding properties: a significantly lower GWP value compared to R134a (R134a: GWP = 1430, R513A: GWP = 631), high energy efficiency and improved environmental sustainability.
